Katie I

Three words to describe you?
Fun, positive, creative.

When you’re not teaching, where will we find you?
You’ll find me out in the sunshine wrangling my three small children, usually with a coffee in hand and still in my active wear.

What’s your favourite Pilates exercise?
Short spine is an all-time fav although you bet you’re going to find lunges or a plank set in almost every one of my classes.

What songs are on the soundtrack of your life?
As a shameless swiftie it would be mix tape of all her best songs - Taylor’s version of course.

Favourite place for a post-workout coffee?
If I’m near home it is Little Fox Lane, or post teaching it’s Alcove at Wilson..

Morgan

Three words to describe you?
Inquisitive, creative, dedicated.

When you’re not teaching, where will we find you?
I'm a homebody. You'll typically find me hosting friends at my home, on the couch with my dog, or visiting family on the Sunshine Coast (home away from home).

What’s your favourite Pilates exercise?
To teach - sidelying strap work. It's accessible for clients, a satisfying glute burn, and fundamental to many other unilateral exercises.

To practice - I LOVE prone back extension. I find this a fabulous way to access my thoracic & back extensors without gripping lower back/glutes!

What’s your favourite thing you own and why?
My sewing machine - I love being able to create (clothes, accessories, gifts), and the practicality of doing my own alterations and fixes.

What are you singing at karaoke?
The Chain (Fleetwood Mac) or anything by Chappell Roan.

Katie M

Three words to describe you?
Warm hearted, dedicated, cheery.

When you’re not teaching where will we find you?
Either in a class myself, or in a coffee shop.

What’s your favourite Pilates exercise?
Short spine! Or heavy lunges! Those are two very different energies!

What are you singing at karaoke?
“Heaven Is A Place On Earth” by Belinda Carlisle. One of the most euphoric songs of all time!

What does your dream holiday look like?
It’s got to be anywhere where the weather is cool (not quite cold enough to snow, we’re talking Autumn vibes) and the food is soothing for the soul. Scandinavia, UK, or Japan are all places I’d love to revisit.

Jess W

Probably attending someone else’s class or listening to live music with friends!

What’s your favourite Pilates exercise?
Anything inner thighs or abs really!

Describe your dream day?
Either a summer day at the beach then dinner and drinks with friends. Or a day filled with live music and friends.

If you could eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Burrito Bowls from Zambrero.

It would have to be anything inner thigh work. Some light spring side splits will do the trick!

What’s your favourite movie or TV quote?
I think anyone who knows me would know the answer to this question… ‘kachow’ from the movie Cars will forever be my favourite quote.

What does your dream holiday look like?
Ooh a trip to South of France, with a detour over to Monaco for the F1 Grand Prix.

My reformer, for obvious reasons! 😜

Fabian

Three words to describe you?
Vibrant. Nurturing. Chameleon. (Not necessarily in that order).

When you’re not teaching where will we find you?
You’ll either find me IN a class as a participant, in the sun recharging (obviously I’m a Leo), or spending time with my husband and our fur babies.

What’s your favourite Pilates exercise?
Hand’s down (pardon the pun), FEET-IN-STRAPS Series. The hip flexor region is often under appreciated in its function of full-body mobility, health, and wellness. DID YOU KNOW, your 'psoas muscle’ (part of hip flexors) may store ‘trapped emotions’ from mental and emotional stress? Pilates exercises in this region is one of the best remedies for release!

What’s the best advice you’ve ever received?
“If you ever wake up more than 3 morning a week and feel like you don’t love your job, find something NEW that you are passionate about”.  It was these words, that I heard many years ago, which encouraged me to leave my previous ‘corporate 9-5’ and pursue my passion of Pilates.

Brene Brown - Dare to Lead.

Kate
